Minister Reverend Mark Walz
Reverend Walz shares the following:
“I believe in the extraordinary power of our Unitarian Universalist Faith and the Communities that form around it. I understand its transformative power and have watched the healing that can follow from its loving application. I have been strengthened and transformed by my journey in it. 'Respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every human life' lives in the promise of almost every religious tradition. Making it real is the challenge. Living in a Faith that encourages us, and expects us, to make this promise real, is surprise enough. Exhilaration comes from the knowledge that everyone in our Unitarian Universalist Association will have our backs in the doing of it. They are instruments of peace and protection for us as we Stand on the Side of Love for all. My work as an Advocate for Social Justice has allowed me the opportunity to build strong relationships with other Justice-seeking leaders and their respective organizations.
I believe in Parish Ministry and seek a religious community that values intellectual integrity and spiritual fearlessness; a church that can embrace and be changed by the next person through the door. Above all, I seek a community that believes church should be exuberant, joyous, and fun.”
